In snapshot form, back in August. In official release, back in October.

Re: So what did YOU do today?
Today's update before I sleep...
All completely forge work again. I started by completely finishing off one of the furnace rows (where I discovered the stairs thing). I then got to work on figuring out how wide the lava lake would be, and dug out some of the border, destroying 2/3 of the furnaces on the far side in the process. Supa came on somewhere in there, after SW had left due to retarded mouse issues, and he did a lava mining trip, before going to afk in the grinder... It doesn't sound like much work I did, but there's a lot that's happened... A metric shitload of digging still to be done.
Oh, and just the lava lake on its own will take close on 800 blocks of lava to fill, just saying :p

But a huge percentage of that has already been filled, right?

You really are crazy. What are the dimensions of the lake going to be?Brendanan wrote:

Alright, we are going to have to make a lot of trips to the nether unless we can find another lava lake nearby. Finding a nearby lake would really cut down the time needed to gather lava. Ill have to look around for one.

That's pretty much exactly what we designed the double grinder FOR.
Re: So what did YOU do today?
Wasn't today but the other day did some minor hunting, found a zombie with golden chestplate and leggings, pretty sweet that, also organised the storage room.

Came on for just a couple of minutes, decided that instead of digging in the farm caves, I'd quick harvest the sugarcane in the temp farm. And promptly had another creeper drop onto my head from the unlit decorative wall contours above. I heard the hiss, promptly ran a bit, turned around...and he was gone. Looked for him, no sign of him. Thought he might have fallen to his death, turned to go back to harvesting....hissBOOM right behind me. And there's a nice crater in the farmland. I fixed it, but for the umpteenth time....LIGHT STUFF UP.

I heard creepers when about to explode, always go to their right, (our left). Or the other way round..

Watched tumbleweed fly by, listened to owls hooting in this stillness. As Minecraft attempts to work.

Re: So what did YOU do today?
Had some free time tonight and dug a small chunk out of the Farm Caves. While I dug I though about the low activity that has been going on with the project lately.
We have come to a point in the project where we have two major projects going on at the same time, the forge and the Farm Caves. Both of these involve a highly tedious amount of digging to complete. I concluded that this lack of variety is killing the activity on the server and the forums.
Basically what I am proposing is that we start to discuss other potential additions to the city and small improvements that will add variety and hopefully boost activity. Of course, these digging projects will be our main focus, but it will help activity if we can create future plans for the city and have some side projects to do other than digging.
I know a lot of people here have been busy with life lately, I am just trying stimulate some discussion here.

Re: So what did YOU do today?
I'd be on more, but my laptop died and the replacement hasn't gotten here yet. Until then, I'm on a crappy loaner laptop whose FPS capability in minecraft occasionally enters the teens. And what I thought was connection problems turned out to be the wrong IP for this server, sigh. But tonight I came on a bit, harvested the temp farms and did some digging in the farm caves.
