So what did YOU do today?

I've been busy lately, and honestly, have lost some motivation to play, but it's been ages, and I think I've got what it takes to keep going and get this forge done I'm going online now, so come and join me

So today I did a little more digging in the forge, and said hi to Train for the first time in a while, then realised I should probably be doing uni work... so went afk in the grinder for a while

Tried to play... Internet wouldn't even let me log on (issue my side)... I guess I'll have to come back another time

Today, well I just woke up, I am wondering when my new comp will be fixed. But it's my birthday tomorrow so meh ^-^

Got my new computer today. Gonna be a while to get all my data moved over. And I don't have minecraft installed just yet. But I should be back to my usual low rate of activity soon.

I returned to the farm cave dig today, digging another strip out of the top and taking a load of cobble back to the storage room.

Giving the server another visit to get some more work done

The Redstone Update should be released soon, they just put out the pre-release for it. Do we currently have any plans to make use of the new features?

Someone should stick a hopper and a double chest or two under the outflow canal for the quad-room item grinder that flows into main storage. Other than that, not much. Maybe a sky-light-sensor and some redstone lamps around the main entrance to the city, to light it up at night?

Eventually, we'll have to explore the nether a bit and get some nether quartz for some nice pillars in the throne room or something, or other decorative purposes.

I haven't been keeping up to date on all these new features, but apparently nether quartz blocks will look quite a bit like marble... which would be great addition to the city. Chiefly in the throne room it could work well. It may even work better in the floor than the iron blocks, which would free up a lot of iron. It could potentially replace stone brick on some of our pillars and such too.

Redstone blocks will make a good block for decoration, as well as compacting our storage a little more too

I forgot about those. Finally, something to replace either the sandstone or clay-brick members of the gemstone pillar row behind the throne in the throne room!

To get some nether quartz we are going to have to travel quite a bit in the nether to find new chunks. It will probably be worthwhile to set up a new outpost in those chunks, especially to get the quantities that the city will require.

There happens to be a place where it would be ideal to set up an outpost. Where we had traveled to for our set-up of dwarf mining (we still gotta do that). Where the other portal is is all new chunks, so it'll only be a short journey to render more
