I'll say now that most of the threads here are a bit old :p we have a way to stop mobs entering... As well as pretty much every one of us because it keeps getting broken and not working properly

Had a pic I wanted to post, doesn't really go anywhere else.



That's a chest floating in midair in a ravine off the farm cave rail line. And what great treasure was in this chest when I finally got in range to open it? Not a darn thing, it was empty. Either someone else got to it without leaving torches anywhere near to it, or chest spawned empty. Hmmph.

Judging by that picture it doesn't appear to be reachable without building your way out to it which it doesn't look like anyone did. Also with the place being unexplored (which is supported by the fact that everything we've done this year has been undone) I'd say it probably spawned empty. I've never seen a chest spawn empty, but if they can spawn in mid-air I'm sure they can spawn empty too. Nice picture =)

Pictures are annoyingly hard to post on this forum. And yes, I am just trying to make our forums look active again since we have had 3 or 4 posts in the last year. NECRO-THREAD time.
