Hey peeps, just wanted to test this little something, it's something I started on another forum and given the right circumstances it could be quite a cool thing. The aim really is to post any songs you are either really enjoying or feeling for at this current time etc. Then those songs will be added to your little section. Then maybe in a year or two you can look back and reflect upon your former music taste, or maybe it wouldn't have changed at all.
Format for songs:
Artist - Song Title
I will be finding lyric videos of the songs on youtube to hyperlink the song. ^-^

Former music taste? I still have every song I've ever liked since I was about 7 and I come back to them all every once in a while when I'm in the right mood or have listened too much to my current favorites.
I do however find it interesting when I find new songs and get really hooked on them for a while before they find their place in my collection.
Now, to start this off I'll post a song I found about a year ago. Let me just point out that I usually listen to new songs 24/7 for a few days then the magic dies and they're just another song I like. However, a few special ones make it into my top current favorites and usually stay there for years. Interestingly enough I don't always get absolutely crazy about these "best" songs at first, but rather let them grow on me. This one was such a case. I listened to it rather sparsely then after a while I realized how much I loved it and it's been a regular in my top 10 ever since.
Without further adieu:
Shinedown - Diamond Eyes
Added a video with lyrics since you seemed to want that =)
I should also mention that I still get goosebumps at 3:11 in the song... every.single.time.

Since you seem to be looking for our past, current, and future guilty pleasures, here are a couple of mine.
Poison -- Something to Believe In
Warrant -- Big Talk
Yes, I like late 80's/early 90's hair metal. Don't judge.

I found them quite pleasing, especially the first. Actually made me feel a lot better ^-^spectrumwars wrote:

Also: I tried implementing font formatting into the spoiler titles but they wouldn't have it, was trying to make it easier on the eye, ended up using symbols instead, hope it's alright.

Hair metal? I've never heard that term before. The first song sounded a bit like some heavy form of country to me. The second one seemed like good music.spectrumwars wrote:

Ha! I came in from mowing the lawn a couple of weeks ago, that first song playing on my MP3 player, and me singing along. My mother heard me (and my tone-deaf inability to carry a tune) and thought I was singing along to this:sret wrote:

Don't put that under my music in the list. If you must put my guilty country picks, do these:
Kacey Musgraves -- Merry Go Round
Darryl Worley -- I Just Came Back From A War

Maybe we need a palate cleanser after that. Something not country...how about 90's techno-industrial-metal?sret wrote:I can't believe we ended up with country music in less than ten hours, and it's my fault
White Zombie -- Real Solution Number Nine
Machines of Loving Grace -- Butterfly Wings
Lyrics in description on both song's youtube video, couldn't find real lyric vids for either one.
