I don't see what we could possibly add to justify option 1 and we have things like diamond in display all over the city anyway so a trophy cabinet makes way more sense to me

Ok... Well, small trophy cabinet style it is Wink

What materials do we want to put in it? Definitely the egg... Do we put the valuables (gold diamond, iron and lapis), and leave it at that, or do we add a few others?

Do we want some of the special sandstone or jungle wood? Do we do ores or blocks?

I think we should stick with anything that is difficult to obtain in the game. For example, Mycelium is really just dirt, but it is also very rare dirt. Also there is going to be the new green emerald ore blocks and solid blocks.

I'm thinking, if we don't make it a huge library/museum, we just make it a small shrine to the Dragon Egg. Floor of tiled End Stone and Obsidian, walls of stone brick (maybe cracked or mossy stone brick quarried from the stronghold), lighting from flaming netherrack, maybe a few accents of glowstone or diamond/gold/lapis blocks. And a small chest containing a book within which is written an epic description of the great battle against the Enderdragon in which we won this great trophy of an egg.

That's another idea... Saves us from deciding what to put on show... And we can showcase emerald elsewhere in the city

I think redstone should be a big deal because of it's proporties. so how about redstone ore leading to redstone dust, to a torch to a repeater ect. Showcasing all the Items that redstone can make, powered rails and stuff inclueded
cheers

That is if we do the cabinet thing

That's a neat idea for a display in a museum/library, something to put near the giant quarter-scale wall mural of where ore layers can be found.
