use of reis minimap

Im wondering if people would be willing to consider allowing rei's minimap mod to be used to allow people to find their way back to the city.

No, because we are playing vanilla minecraft, and it allows features that make gameplay way too easy, such as a death point, and waypoints. The dwarves city was designed to be played vanilla, without extra madifications to the game. Vanilla leaves nothing to be desired other than improved performance.

Not trying to start this up again but I have a quick question. I recently have been playing a bit on the MineZ mod server thing and have Rei's Minimap installed to make it easier. I agree that we should not use Rei's Minimap on our own server, but is it alright if I have it installed and I just disable it while on the server?

Use the m key on your keyboard then click disable rei minimap and disable death point.

Yeah, I definitely will. I just wanted to know if everyone was fine with me having it installed, even if it is disabled.

As long as you're not using it, it's all good... I don't expect you to have to remove it to play on the server, then reinstall it when you go back to the other. Too much work

Sounds to me like it's basically using a mod on other servers except you have the option to use this one here. You can use all the mods you want as long as you don't use them on this server, that's the bottom line, so if you want to have 30+ mods installed we don't even have to know about it as long as you don't use them on this server (which we trust that you wont)

It is definitely that we've got to trust you're not using it, cause we won't know if you are or aren't. It's how much you value the integrity of the project.

Which I do. I wouldn't have joined if I didn't like the "legit" part of the project.
