NEW STRONGHOLD!!!!!

Yep Due to either slow rendering, or a missing chunk (not sure which), snate managed to find us a much closer stronghold. Hidden right beneath our village, believe it or not.

We found the approximate spot, dug down, and hit the portal room, just like that I think this is a much better spot to launch our attack on the enderdragon, don't you?

So right under our desert then? That should be within walking distance from the dome, wow. Could simply be another destination from the hub. I'm surprised we haven't found it while caving. And to think it's been right there all the time...

I know... I was shocked it was so damn close to us!!! I'm not complaining though

Perhaps we can work it in as a future part of the city

Perhaps as a prison complex??? Remove a few sections, expand some... somewhere to put the naughty dwarves

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD THIS THING IS F****** HUGE!!!!!!!!

I am not kidding, this thing got me so lost it's not funny. It goes from about y=45 down to y=9, is intersected by caves galore, as well as a few mineshafts... lava lakes have ripped the place to shreds down lower, water everywhere in parts... I was so lost down there, and threw up almost 4 stacks of torches... I did suggest to trainman that we map that thing out, but with the size of it, I don't think that's gonna happen...

Seriously, the size of that thing scares me

And to think it has been right by us the entire time.

The new enterance staircase to this is done, its linked to the portal room by a hallway, the enterance is also easy to spot.

I demand a statue of myself made out of obsidian and goat blood to honour me for this discovery.

Grrr...I so want to see this, but Dad reneged on our agreement to let me use his laptop and put MC on it. And the guy building my new laptop hasn't sent it out yet, so I won't get it until late next week at the earliest. So I have currently no way to play Minecraft. If the rest of you can find a time to go kill the dragon, don't wait for me. But if the new stronghold is under the village, it sounds like a great idea to build a slanted cart track up to the village, and start capturing villagers in minecarts and taking them down to the cleaned-up stronghold prison cells for protective custody!

Well, yes. To protect them from nightly zombie attacks and griefers, and provide us with a source of villager trades once version 1.3 hits in a couple of weeks.

We should step up our making of bookcases now that we have a set date for when it'll be harder to get them

does the update affect bookcases or just books??? We have a ton of books already made (at least 9 stacks)
