1.3 Update
Ok, as we know, the 1.3 update came out sometime in the last 24 hours. I have confirmed that the server is now updated to 1.3, and appears to be running fairly smoothly for now.
This contains many features that could be quite useful to the city, the list of which can be found Here

I set up a dispenser to shoot out carts at a button press. I did it for the main hub and exp. grinder.
Also i was thinking since villagers now trade items maybe we could catch a few and set them up in some sort of market with little vender stalls. we could sell off our excess supplies for emeralds.

Good to see you're still around, Splat.
We do plan to do something with villagers but unfortunately we seem to have lost all of them.

But yes, good to see you back around hope you approve of what's happened with the unwelcome mat. I've done a few repairs on it since I saw you last, but it seems to work as it originally did
Finding villagers will be the biggest problem... Our last one disappeared without a trace (we kept him locked up in the stronghold, for his "safety")

I can see some future adventures; "delving into the mysteries of the stronghold". Perhaps we'll find a horde of imprisoned villagers deep in the ruins.

We could build an elf city in the heart of a jungle some place all made of wood as a new project.
I been experimenting with with new designs I have a really good one but it requires a slight door way change.
But the door can be much bigger also I found arrows trigger tripwires so they don't work for the mat.

Hold on. We still need to finish the dwarf city before we go making any crazy elven cities.

That's true, but we have actually been touching on topics of future cities past the dwarven one. We will eventually create a thread about it for fun and motivational purposes

As with the mat, I found that out the hard way. There have been slight modifications to the entrance to allow for this though

front view lava it needs decoration
heres the new layout idea for the main door
- The brown is the guard tower that can be expanded.
- red is lava
- the grass is the kill zones.
- a mine cart hidden by lava will be out safe way to re-enter.
Theres also a way to make bows trigger hidden tripwires.

I like the current design, but let's see what the new one looks like, then if we like it, we can implement it

i tried to use tripwires but arrows trigger them so once one arrow is fired it never stops.
we could also use lava on both sides of the door and create a cross fire but the arrow that land in lava will be lost and we will lose the pushback effect.
i was thinking of a way to use water to push monster out the door and water will protect from creeper more.
ill experment more
