Re: Who did it?
I should probably explain that we do not want to throw anything out... ANYTHING! We keep all our cobblestone. We keep all that 'useless' gravel (It's great for filling in lava pits, and for decending in the nether). We keep all that dirt. We NEVER destroy rotten flesh (I'm dissapointed that we're out). It helps us to keep track of our progress, and it also stops me going crazy from my hoarding OCD, which i share with many others. basically, destroying items is almost considered equal to greifing, and will be dealt with as such.
Whoever did it this time, that's alright, but if anyone gets caught doing it again, there will be consequences

Re: Who did it?
I've stopped people from doing this countless times. Apparently I didn't get through to everyone. =<

Re: Who did it?
I've discarded a few rotten flesh when on spelunking expeditions and my inventory was too full to pick up something more valuable. Even a gravel or two. But we do not need an incinerator in the storage room, where we have plenty of places to put stuff, even useless stuff, because everything has SOME use.
Re: Who did it?
My mind is still blown that given the amount of real food that some still desire to eat rotten flesh. With an 80% chance to get food poisoning and decrease your food bar rather than filling it I simply can't justify eating it. I always destroy any that I pick up from zombies that I have slain in honorable combat, but I have never taken any from chests.
I will try to remember to hold on to some now, but if it comes down to one inventory slot, anything comes back over rotten flesh.

I understand if you are exploring, and you have a full inventory, then you stumble upon something that you need, to throw away one slot in your inventory. That's just a necessity. But using an incinerator is uncalled for
Re: Who did it?
Someone else blocked the incinerator up with dirt, which was annoying because I wanted to grab the lava in a bucket for use elsewhere. Oh well. I have replaced the incinerator with a second Infinite Spring. I toyed with the idea of having a sign on each side, one reading "Holy Water" and the other reading "Unholy Water", but in the end I settled for a bad pun on the term Infinite Spring.

I'd take rotten flesh over diamonds anyday

Whereas you CAN kill things with a handful of rotten flesh. Never actually done it, but I did once kill a creeper with a torch. It was in my old single-player game on the "Glacier" seed. I was hollowing out a large floating boulder into possible future living space, and heading back to base after a long session of digging. I had built a small stairway up to the boulder from the nearby hillock, and I opened the door at the top of the stairs to exit the boulder...and came face-to-face with a hissing creeper standing at the top of the stairs. Reacting on pure instinct, I tried to whack him with whatever I had in my hand...which turned out to be a torch. It didn't do him much damage, but it did knock him back Juuuust enough to kick him off the staircase....and he was juuust far enough up the staircase to have a sheer drop to the base of the cliff underneath him....which must have been juuust far enough to kill him, as when I got down to the bottom to check, there was naught but a small pile of gunpowder to mark his passing.
Re: Who did it?
I've beaten everything BUT a creeper with my bare fists... In SSP, zombies are easier to kill that cows without weapons (cause the zombie comes at you, the cow runs)
